How credible is this guy?

There's this user on Youtube named AlienScientist.

What do the physicisty types on this forum think of the stuff he posts about current state of physics? Is it fringe science, junk science, or revolutionary physics?

As a layman, I can never tell between lunacy and brilliance - perhaps that's what's most confusing. I can never know when to take this stuff seriously, but it does sound oh-so-awesome when he talks about the advent of cold fusion and anti-gravity stuff. <3

This is just a sofisticated spin, but a spin none the less. All he does is to put allot of complicated terminology and complicated mathematical formulation that they do know you won't be ale to understand (and so you realy have no clue where to poke holes). I happen to know the terminology and math involved and allot of what he was talking was complete giberish. I wouldn't bet on him being able to go any where.

He does tend to lean towards the crazy-aluminum-hat-wearing conspiracy nutter types, so that's why I was suspicious. But other than the "t3h guvnmint cuvvers everythings up", it did sound pretty interesting, and he wasn't saying the new world order is coming and stuff.

I'd hoped some of the stuff like anti-gravity experiments that he was portraying isn't a bunch of garbage, though...

What would antigravity do anyway? Either there's gravitational force or there isn't. What am I missing?

I imagine anti-gravity is little energy particles or something that neutralize/prevent gravity in the same way that antiviral medicine neutralizes viruses (or attempts to).

Maybe Anti-matter produces anti-gravity :O and we just haven't been able to produce enough to measure it.... DUN DUN DUUUUNNNNNN.

TBH I have no idea how we will get real sci-fi anti-gravity, but we already know how to do the pseudo "centrifugal" gravity. We just need to be able to get more mass out into space more efficiently than rockets, like the space elevator concept, so that we can build it in earth orbit.

Problem number 1. Conservation of energy!.
You are on a potential pit to get out of there you need to put at least the minimum amount of energy equaling the difference of potential. Yeah rockets are enificient because you need fue to carry fuel, you waste most of it on heat, but yeh you still need lots.

Watching his "antigravity physics explained" video, never heard of "heavy protons", but maybe that's level 3 or level 4 physics. Sufficed to say that what he is talking about is beyond me, and doesn't make any sense.

From what I gather the problems with muon catalyzed fusion aren't even close to a solution, but it isn't quite so much a faerie tale as anti-gravity.
Muon catalyzed fusion is actually possible, but it requires very much more energy than it produces.

Anti Gravity is probably best left in the category Sci-Fi.
Before we have any idea what anti-gravity is we'll probably have to finish figuring out gravity.

This guy looks more like a con man than someone with an actual theory.
When someone uses phrases like "secret suppressed technologies" the first thing I think of is "FREE ENERGY!!!" perpetual motion / over-unity engines.

Con men like to use conspiracy theories and made up, important sounding physical laws and other cranial ass-damage to dazzle people.
You will never meet a "Free Energy" con man that has less than a professorship. It's a disguised type of argument from authority, "I'm a professor so STFU."
They usually don't respond well to, "But I passed high school physics, so STFU." They invariably respond with an assertion that "you don't understand the advanced principles involved."

Most of these guys also like slight of hand parlor tricks.
First they rent out some hotel conference room and invite people to come check it out. Some actually charge admission to witness the wonders they bring.
They drag out some cute but essentially useless novelty like an Asymmetrical Capacitor and fly the cute little toy around for a bit.
An Asymmetrical Capacitor will fly around a bit, but not because it has anything to do with anit-gravity.
It's just a novel form of propulsion. Charged air produces lift and while you see no moving parts it flies. Kinda cute.
(if you put a bit of tissue paper in front of an electrostatic air cleaner you will discover that the charge creates a draft, same thing going on with this thing.)

But then they misrepresent it as being an anti gravity device and gosh well they just proved that it works so...

Then they ask for venture capital...

There is a ton of this crap on YT, try searching Inverse Gravity Drive and Searl Effect Generator.
Just a suggestion... don't expect a meaningful conversation with these guys.
