I've been a lurker here for a bit but decided to finally pop in and say hi.

I enjoy competition, thunderstorms, walking at night, amateur astronomy, books, and math.

My hobbies include programming, exploring meatspace, not collecting butterflies, and gaming.

I like reading here because the community is really rather positive. I hope I can contribute to that and encourage people to think more.

It started as a joke about Apple a long time ago. I know the correct spelling is Deprecated.

And I still use C. :ugeek:

(plus it adds a small bit of uniqueness to it as a name rather than a just another word)
