Good day to you all!

I proceeded to post an interesting news article a week ago or so, completely forgetting to formally introduce myself to the remainder of the forum. My apologies for that.

My name is Andrew, and I'm extremely excited to be here. I suspect this will be the first forum where I will not be intentionally ostracized for being who I am. Prior to this, I found myself in situations where I was pinpointed as "the atheist". Quite childish, but entirely expected due to the social circles I subjected myself to.

I come here not with an agenda, nor am I the paragon of knowledge, but I hope to learn a tremendous amount from the large population of people present here. For me, scientific nescience is unacceptable, and I hope to acquire a sufficient amount of knowledge to further accelerate my interests in the fields.

I vehemently look forward to discussions with many of you in the near future .

I certainly hope you'll feel more welcome and at home here than in that other place you mention, where you are "the atheist".
If you don't mind me asking, where is that?

Anyway, I hope you'll consider dropping by the chatroom sometime also. Those that get out of there alive usually recommend it.

A while back I used to be quite involved with automobiles. As time progressed (and I grew up), I lost almost all interest in the field, and began applying my efforts towards science and religion. The forum I was referring to was a now-defunct automotive enthusiast forum. Many of the people on that board were outspoken creationists. To my knowledge, I was the only person who lacked a belief in a deity. It's been a while since I've been active on a forum, but this website is a breath of fresh air for me .
