Hayden: real or fake?

arg-fallbackName="DontHurtTheIntersect"/>
Anyone who caught the last bits of the blogtv marathon, hosted by dprjones, knows that there was fierce debate as to whether or not it was actually Hayden Panettiere who made a guest appearance.

Now, as for me, I was there when she was co-hosting, and that was pretty convincing for me. But I wanna know what everyone else thinks, so, I ask: real or fake?

Real.

A LOT of work went into this prior to and during the show. I admit I was very skeptical to begin with but after speaking with some of the key organisers of the show it became apparent that they had put in far too much effort for her not to be the real deal. They did their homework, spoke to her and her people.

I won't name, names but some people were behaving very childishly toward her at times. It was unnecessary and inappropriate. We were there for charity... Not a bitch fest.

Hayden helped make the show a success as well as the massive efforts of people like Rhysz, Scikidus, Dmkrispin and of course Dprjones. I only wish I had been involved a lot more than I was... Maybe next time :)

Wikiapedia edittors are still looking for sources if anyone wants to help them out.

Well I was there when she co-hosted so I've got to say real too. A lot of people in the chat were skeptical, admittedly so was I, but I'm almost positive that was her. Once again, to the people that put that together, great job organizing the whole drive. Seemed like a great success :p

Well, I don't know what those wikipedians consider a proper source in this case.
I guess they will have to wait for when Hayden makes that video about the blogtv show?

Real. Voice was a match, you could tell she had a manager or someone that she was double checking with before revealing info, and of course, the organizers of the show would never have had Hayden on unless they were ABSOLUTELY sure it was her.

If I am not mistaken, she has used that account before as well. But I am not sure.

Real. She has this certain tone to her voice that I always thought stood out when I watched Heroes. Like she would be able to do a spot on impression of a 10 year old boy or something lol. I definately detected that same tone when she co hosted.

Also: I thought it was pretty funny when she said "its over 9000" lmao.

I believe she was real. I was NOT there when she was "live". But I have no basis to assume that it should be a faker.
Firstly I know of famous people often using facebook, talking with regular people like us. After all she is still a human being. She also has to sit down to take a dump.
I believe that she was real, due to lack of evidence of the counterpart and I can see no reason why one would be possing as her for that long.

And the real Hayden Pastahair (whatever last name) can come 'round my place anyday.

Okay, we've got a consensus here, now. I think a lot of confusion came from many people who arrived after Hayden did her hosting, and when they heard the rumor, they ate it up without any question.

I think it's an absolute shame that even happened. From what I've heard (I wasn't in the main room, where most of this apparently happened) she got a lot of shit over her and that's just unfair. Even if people thought she was fake, they should have expressed their discontent towards the organisers, not throw insult to hayden in the chat room.

I would assume a lot of those people were proponents of reason, as such it is a shame they didn't think about it or be reasonable.

Also, to be a bit more on-topic, I think she was real, at least as co-host. I am unsure if it was her who stayed around for quite a long time in the chat rooms afterwards, since that could have been done by an assistant, but in good faith it was probably herself, since I see no reason why she wouldn't do that.

Personally I couldn't give a monkey's whether she was or wasn't the real deal. Whoever it was seemed to do a lot to help the cause which deserves respect. What doesn't sit well with me is the way quite a few people were treated when they dared ask questions that didn't suit, amongst other things. Of course there was some idiocy, but the kicking got totally out of hand and needs to be addressed as imo it totally ruined the atmosphere at times, not just by HP and her PA I hasten to add. Some very over zealous OPs on there for the large part. Still, that's another discussion entirely.

From the bulk of the comments I've seen, the crux of the confusion surrounding her authenticity stems from the fact she was on good morning america and nattering on blogtv at the same time, as well as other stuff, and the fact she didn't have, and couldn't get access to a webcam. But if it was indeed her I'm sure there's a reason. Here's a cherry picked example of the raft of doubting comments on YT:

someone on youtube said:
-Hayden89/Hayden-89 accounts discrepancy(based on account creation dates)
-OfficialHEROES fake twitter(Linking to Hayden-89 account)
-4+ large mistakes in her performance on blogtv, including claiming to have only read scripts, of Heroes s4 e1-2, when this was only the case in January.
-The parroting of only information from interviews and news articles

someone else on YT in reply to the above quote said:
And the fact that she was on Good Morning America this morning, which is in NY. That Hayden-89 b***h was on with us until, 4 or 5 in the morning ET. Riiight.

I've no agenda in posting those quotes, merely for the purposes of balance I guess. As said I couldn't care less who it was or wasn't.

Just to clarify she said that about season 5, not season 4, so that point is moot.

I think she was real, but it would have greatly helped if she had used a cam rather than just voice. Agreed that she was treated badly - I've been in her blogtv room and she gets such a lot of crap already. From what I could see, she was there for the full 24 hours.

I have other feelings about her being involved at all, especially at such short notice, but I'll save that for private discussion.

Question.... is there any video of the event?

As far as being on "good morning america" or whatever those are taped.
