I have a bad habit of joining and posting to a forum before remembering to introduce myself.
So, hello!
I am an atheist from the American South, more specifically Florida, more specifically Pensacola, more specifically that place that Hovind fellow is based out of.
So excuse me if my grammar and spelling are not up to par, but for a Southern man I do pretty well I think.
I am also a mostly out atheist and skeptic around here. Still trying to work up the nerve to wear my shirts outside, but I am often out in public with my laptop which bears a number of decals for local and national groups. I'd pop a few on my truck, but my need for it outweighs the vandalism risk.
Aside from that I also volunteer with a couple of safe house groups to help people coming out of cults or religion, or are kicked out after coming out or being outed as LGBQT or atheist.
After a year or so at this I'm not bitter or cynical at all, honest.
