Hello everyone!

I found the site via YouTube (thanks to the brilliant "Why do people laugh at creationists?" videos) and I thought I should come over and see what you guys have to say!

I live in the 'Bible Belt' part of Canada at the moment, but grew up in Toronto. I've only been living out here for 5 years and I'm still blown away by how closed minded people can be. Anyway, it's been an adventure!

Nice to 'meet' you all! :D

I didn't realize there was a 'bible belt' in Canada. I suppose it makes sense that any stretch of rural area are bible belts in most countries. Anyway, welcome. I'm headed up to Montreal in a couple weeks, but I've never been to Canada before. Looking forward to it.

Have a good one. I hope whatever Canadian jokes you may here from the U.S. are tame and funny - no one really tells in my expereince except in the media for some reason. Not really sure why.

Thanks for the welcome!

Sadly yes, Saskatchewan and Alberta are pretty right-wing, it's a bunch of old farmers and cowboys out here. I was shocked at how openly racist and homophobic the people here can be. And if you go to a company event or luncheon there's a prayer before the meal. That would never fly in Toronto (well, maybe at a church luncheon).

I think you'll enjoy Montreal, it's a gorgeous city! Try to make your way into Old Quebec, it's lovely! Have a nice trip :)

Haha, sadly they usually aren't very funny and involve moose or beaver or whether or not I say "eh" or "aboot" (I don't but my husband does). But I don't mind, I love the US, we're going to NYC this summer!

Love the user name, by the way! I have a Hedgehog named Dr. Manhattan! ;)

Welcome to the LoR Daphne.

I too am a big fan of the Tf00t's series.

If you haven't already you need to subscribe to AronRA and Potholer54. There are many more unbelievably knowledgeable creationist debunkers but I think they are my favorites.

Thank you! I was already subscribing to Potholer54, but AronRA so I appreciate that.

My own youtube is pretty useless, it's pretty much just videos of my dogs ;)
