Great argument against the flood.

This is a better explanation and makes more sense than a YEC. :)

Yeah, definitely. Especially the point with the fish and the water birds....

there's a huge problem with fish in the flood-story anyway: There are freshwater fish
and saltwater fish. saltwater fish don't survive in freshwater and freshwater fish don't
survive in saltwater. so, if all the flood was freshwater, then noah would have had to
take all the saltwater fish on the ark in huge aquaria, or vice versa. or even more likely:
Since a lot of water from the flood came from rain, the result would probably have been
brackish water. So he would have had to take ALL the fish on the ark. except the brackish
water fish...

But I'm sure, creationists have a "brilliant" rationalisation for this problem, too.

I actually thought of this argument several years ago and there's an even better corollary to it.

1) There are fish like salmon which can survive in both freshwater and seawater.
2) There are fish today which cannot survive in both of these.
3) So if all fish in Noah's time were able to survive in both and therefore Noah did not require an aquarium.
4) However, this means that between Noah's time and the present we have a proof of evolution, straight from the bible.
