 No people, Im not making this up.
This is partially a response to a Post but mostly, I'll put it here just intended for discussion upon the specific topic.
Now i know how much of you all hate glenn beck, and those of you who have read This Ought to know where im coming from here. So excuse me for having a little Rant.
Basicly, He as we all (hopefully) know, likes to twist History to fit his agenda, He seems to be taking this to a brand new level now.
If you subscribe to Beck University for the price of $79 Plus having Insider Extreme membership to start with You can be treated to essentialy 3 courses, titled Faith, Hope and Charity.
I'll use the Faith course here as an example. It's Hosted by David Barton who is the founder and president of Wallbuilders, a "national pro-family organization that presents America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious, and constitutional heritage." You can see where this is heading already can't you?
David is" the author of numerous best-selling books" Because popular sure doesn't mean Right. Actualy, David is Known for Distorting History Himself. See Here ,
Here and here
Despite What Glenn Beck says, His exhaustive research (not really) has not rendered him an expert in historical and constitutional issues. He may serve as a consultant to state and federal legislators (Probably from the GOP), he may have participated in several cases at the Supreme Court, (I dont think That's good. Do you?) he may have been involved in the development of social studies standards for numerous states, and has helped produce some popular history textbooks now used in schools across the nation. (No wonder Texas is screwed)
Seeing im writing after his first lecture, I'll offer you to watch this. A rebuttial to His first lecture? If anyone can give me the video to the full lecture, I'll post my thoughts seeing as according to this, It's no good.
