Anything considered a gateway to sexual activity for Tennessee students can now get school officials in legal trouble if they condone such behaviour under a new bill, International Business Times reports.

The Gateway Sexual Activity bill, which was passed by the Tennessee House of Reps last Friday, allows parents to sue educators or other parties that encourage or allow "gateway" activities to occur.

So the next step must be naming everything which is not in the bible a gateway activity. Great way to raise kids.

From what I understand, they would need to stop all male students from speaking with those of the female variety, looking at them, discussing their existence or even thinking about them. Because anytime a pubescent male even acknowledges girls, they will not stop until things get wet. Oh, and I can't imagine how many suits will be filed as a result of parents walking in on something and someone quickly says "Well, Mr. Jones did/said something that got us curious..."

Speaking from experience, I'd say that there is quite a long list of things that are potential gateways to sex...

These range from ice cream to table tennis and most things in between.

Sucks for the Sex ed teacher...
I'm sure their curriculum is more or less "You have sex before marriage and you shall BURN! Now, as for what sex is, if you know before marriage you shall BURN! For safe sex, if you wear a condom you shall BURN, for every sperm is sacred/great." And so on.

Well with them wanting anti-science taught in science classes, I guess that idea of sex ed isn't far off...

Christian side hugs all around. :p
