I am going to do my best to be factually correct in my assertions, though this is difficult considering how little information is available on the subject. In October of 2008, the United Nations passed a non-binding resolution urging its member countries to institute laws banning any criticism of the Islamic religion. A binding resolution has been proposed and may already have been passed. Oddly, the only national coverage I have been able to find on the progression of this resolution aired in February, before the binding resolution was to hit the floor of the General Assembly. Interested parties can find the story (Christopher Hitchens on Lou Dobbs' program) here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQbPYxTL9D4 (I haven't figured out if HTML tags are allowed here or not). There is other information available, which I am flipping through now. My problem with this is that no one is discussing it! One story in the US? No international coverage? For those of you in the UK, perhaps you can tell me if there has been significant coverage there. Any information / discussion on this topic is MORE THAN WELCOME! I will post more later this evening or tomorrow morning when I have more information, and you can expect a video regarding this on my YouTube channel "InModiasWeTrust". Once again, one of our fundamental human rights, that of free expression, is being threatened by the largest international political body in history! Please help me do something about it!
