There's a lot of good IPAs out there, especially in the US. But this one is the best. Brewed in Kalamazoo, Michigan. What makes this beer so great is not only the taste but the consistence in quality over the last 20 years. The carbonation and taste is always perfect. Bells brewery has never made a bad beer.
India Pale Ale is my favorite style of beer. Germany has been trying to produce good IPA for the last ten years or so. They are getting better at it. But the US beats them hands down.

We've got many local craft breweries it's hard to keep up. I'm usually game for a good IPA, lager, dark ale, pale ale etc. I just like to try new beers. We have one liquor store store here with a huge walk in cooler, 1500 kinds of beer. At least this place was the original to go to with such a huge selection. Of course I thought I was in heaven when I went to Belgium. Beer, frites, and chocolate what more could a person want.

When it come to cheap, mass produced America rice lagers, I've always been partial to Old Style. Because it's God's beer.

Aldi's used to sell a pretty decent discount beer as well. Not sure if it was ever available in the US.

When I was Germany for a band tour, many decades ago just after I graduated high school, I also enjoyed many amazing beers there also. Still have a very nice Paulaner mug.

Nobody beats the Germans when it comes to Dopplebock beers. Some US craft brewers claim to make good dopplebock, but they put chocolate and coffee other shit inside of them. Fuck that bullshit.

This is a REAL double bock. Actually not my favorite but in my experience it is the most commonly available german bock beer in the US. My absolute fav is probably Salvador, another great German Bock which contains a bit more alcohol and will knock you on your ass. Interestingly all the really best German Dopplebocks have names which end in "or". The only exception I can think of is a beer called "Dopple Hirsch". Best thing is I can buy them all here for like 1/10th of the price that you'll have to pay in stupid America.
