Fable Cancelled and Lionhead Closing!

Hi folks.

Is anyone a fan of the Fable games for Xbox? Or of Lionhead Studios, their creator?

I love the Fable series and therefore am a fan also of Lionhead.

Well, Xbox in the last few days has decided to cancel an admittedly overdue Fable Legends, despite it being near completion and ready for release very soon. Worse than that though, they are basically shutting Lionhead Studios down in about 3 weeks time.

If anybody has any love for the Fable games, or for Lionhead who are also responsible for games like Black and White and The Movies, there are 2 petitions to save both the studio and hopefully the game Fable Legends. I've signed both and will leave the links to both below.

If anyone feels like they'd like to sign them, that'd be great!!! Of course, if you know anybody who also might feel disappointed to hear this news, please share these petitions about. The more people who sign (if they want to of course) the better! I'm sure the folks at the Studio would greatly appreciate it, but also the gamers who want to see more from Lionhead would love it too!

I greatly enjoyed Fable and Black and White. That is terrible news for their employees.

I really enjoyed Black and White and I still have it on my computer along with Alpha Centauri... I'm sad to see the studio close down and Fable Legends get cancelled when it was just about to come out of alpha.

Yeah I totally agree. They were about to put it into open beta - maybe this month. This news is rubbish really and the timing is so bad. So many people have been waiting for this game for months, including myself and they pull the plug at the last minute. I might have bought a PS4 otherwise... maybe not, but still. Just release the game Microsoft.

I think lots of people (me too) are hoping for a reversal, but that might just be wishful thinking. Having listened to a couple of podcasts about it, it sounds pretty final, but unless you try, nothing will happen... so people are still signing the petitions to try to help.

Fable Day. This week. It's partly a protest, but mostly a tribute.

Basically, people are going to play Fable all day. hehe.

I think there might be some stories and jokes and stuff... The website's still under construction.
