Elementary School Shooting

Checking my email today, I see a sad story. Heavily armed gunman entered an elementary school, killing 20 children and 7 adults, one of the victims being the shooter's mother. Authorities also found a dead body in the home of the shooter. Fucked up.

"Fucked up" is about right, but truth be told these things will continue unless you can find a viable way to totally airtightl ban gun ownership. And after that they'll switch to lances, home made flame throwers and bombs (and don't think they won't, it's already happened). There is just no understanding these people. Killing someone you hate I get, killing total strangers I don't.

Yeah these things are becoming pretty regular here actually, but blood spilled doesn't seem to change minds, just set them more in their ways. Such events do not prove or disprove any position they only provide ammo for spin. You'll have better luck fixing the middle east than disarming the U.S.

Appears some things are still sketchy, but one piece of information that will probably play a major role in this case is the fact that the guns apparently weren't even his, but belonged to his mother. Doesn't change too much about what happened, but seems that pro-gun folks will see this as a reason not to hold ownership rights in question at all.

I also see that WBC hasn't faded entirely from our lives. They plan on doing their horrible thing, as always.
