I'M MAD AS HELL AN I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!

Dear members of LoR,

As you may know by now DPRJones'channel has been terminated by Youtube. You can view his goodbye video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UGZBACVzb4

I'm not going to take this lying down. I hope you will join me in mirroring the 'offending'video in protest of Youtube's actions:

(I'm very sorry about the sound quality but we're working on a better version)

Regards,
Rhysz

On it.

But here's the dumbest mistake I made in... quite a while. I didn't rename the video I uploaded, so youtube detect it was dprjones video and they didn't let me publish it.

weird thing though.

YOUTUBE SUCKZ

& mirror dprjones videos.

There's a program to automate youtube voting out there that you can find with a google seacrch using two rather obvious keywords. It seems to have been around for a couple of years now, and at one time cost $35. There are also torrents out there for it.

It seems to have been written to vote up videos promoting or advertising products. But once you can do that, voting down is just as easy, and false flagging are easy.I don't know how it works but I can thonk of a few obvious ways.

It would surprise me if this was the only one, and that youtube didn't know about it. Which makes their automatic suspension and termination even worse.

Please, don't anybody lower themselves to the net.fundy level. But any complaint to youtube should mention this program and ask what they are doing about it.

maybe we can organise a proper exodus from youtube?
The fundies would declare victory. What about a joint statement, a video directed at Youtube, and ask everyone in the LoR to mirror it? It's time to rally the troops again.

but there s no point debating them as long as every jerk with an itch on his jesus-wart can shut you down.

Maybe dpr should try a new spamming technique: open up a new channel for every video he uploads, and create a huge reply chain...

I wrote a letter template for anybody that wants to contact the tube, but I don't know where to send it... here it is:
Dear YouTube Admins,
A user by the name of dprjones has recently been suspended as the result of alleged violation of terms of use. Please note that dprjones has not violated any terms of use in his plight to provide enlightening and educational videos. All of his videos are an exercise of free speech and have earned hundreds of thousands of views, positive ratings, subscribers and comments.

It will be in the best interest of YouTube if it properly investigates the alleged violations, rather than blindly suspending accounts and removing videos. On behalf of the YouTube community and the subscribers of dprjones, we urge you to re-activate the account of dprjones. Unjust suspensions will encourage thousands of subscribers and users to stop using YouTube and opt out for other video communities.

Please take action immediately and bring back dprjones.
Best Regards,
<Your Screen Name>

If anybody has a link and knows where we can send it, then please post!

I have a couple ideas how to get the dprjones channel back. Don't get your hopes up, but I think we have a chance.

So? ......... <_< .............. >_> ........... Would you like to share them?

But yeah. That's it. This is bullshit. You don't worngfully suspend one of Creature's favorite people in entertainment media and get away with it. Creature will do some SERIOUS magick to 1) Get DPRJones UNsuspended, 2) Get youtube to crack down on voteboting, false flagging and DMCA abuse, and 3) Hex the shit out of that fucktard who votebots other channels then gets people wrongfully suspended (see thunderf00t's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6OchVQJzag for more info).

You may not believe in the Occult, but the Occult believes in you. -_-

I believe that support@youtube.com will not work for this, or at least it seems that way, i got an e-mail back from that address telling me that it is invalid. So i am assuming it is for them to send out mail, but not to be responded to. they sure as hell make it hard to just send them a simple message, I didn't find much help on the contact or support pages either.... then again, I may have just missed it, until recently I avoided youtube like the plague, and am not very familiar with it.

I noticed just now that Frankreturns has taken down all his videos pertaining to DPRJones and several that he hadn't already taken down were removed due to "terms of service violations". He also disabled ratings on the 5 videos left in his channel. Gee that doesn't look suspicious

EDIT: Wow, in the few min between the last time I looked at his channel and posting this he has removed 4 more videos, leaving one.

FRANKRETURNS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CLOSED DOWN!?!?!?!?!?!

Did he take it down? Was it closed down? WTF is happening?

dpr is not yet reinstated, so its more likely frankreturns closed it down himself.

Or did some idiot flag him?

"Closed" generally translates as closed by the owner of the channel. Not a YouTube action.

But, given that Youtube generally avoids comment either way on admin or policy matters, this can be "spun" any way people choose to.

Ridiculous. DPR was trying to fix the youtube problem and got booted... what the hell is up with that?

Creationist trick to silence every one that are trying to open their eyes. They are scared of guys like Dprjones. So they do stuff like false flaging, vote bots etc...
Not so long ago they burned people (Scientist) for saying that the earth was round.

In a disgraceful example of not understanding how to interpret their own guidelines, YouTube has suspended dprjones without proper cause. I've attempted to inject some humour to get the issue of dpr more widely seen as there are already a stack of straight mirrors out there. I realise that I've cast dpr as Hitler but it's still a funny version of what is becoming a bit of a meme.

I watched the DPRJ video and couldn't see anything wrong with it.

How does the YouTube system work? If a video gets a certain amount of flags it is restricted to registered users and you get a warning, three strikes and you're out?

If that's right, I think we should start our own flagging campaign. YouTube generates its revenue by ad watching, most of the smaller channels don't matter because they don't have enough views, but the larger channels should be a concern for YouTube. We could go through a whole bunch of highly watched videos and flag any that even flirt with the guidelines. Importantly, we would want to make sure the videos are actually violating or close to violating the rules. If a lot of these videos start getting restricted and the accounts suspended, YouTube may start to realise there is a problem and hopefully make moves to fix it.

Any thoughts?
