Anyone else surprised?

Well tell someone that it comes from some east asian country like Japan and most people think it works. I am absolutely not surprised they did not work.

Fact is, if something says it gets rid of 'toxins' - it doesn't do anything.

There are toxic chemicals out there. Unspecified "toxins" are complete nonsense. If you can't list specific toxic chemicals and their specific effects, you're a lying piece of shit.

Name a single product which states that it gets rid of toxins and actually does. :p

Ummm... legitimate chelation removes legitimate heavy metal poisoning. I can't think of another example off-hand.

Oh! Dialysis removes the specific toxins that would normally be removed by the kidneys, when/if they fail.

But people don't say 'Oh toxins, lets get some Dialysis in this place', they say 'holy crap, your kidneys are broken - let's fix that up with Dialysis'.

And with heavy metal poisoning they don't say 'god damn, look at all these toxins - let's fix that right up', they say 'what the hell were you eating mercury for? Time for chelation therapy'.

The only time I've seen people (whereby I mean doctors or scientists etc.) ever use the word 'toxin' is when talking about microbial diseases, but even then they're referred to as enterotoxins or neurotoxins or at least exotoxins.

So a general rule of thumb could be 'If it says toxin, it don't do shiz. If it says enterotoxin, don't eat it.'

That's what I was saying! Doctors don't say "you're full of toxins" any more than they say "you're full of viruses" or "you're full of cancers." They say that you have a specific toxin, virus, or cancer and give you a specific treatment and not a catch-all "detoxification."
