Hi.

Here's a challenge for you all. Read on this website for more than 5 minutes. http://celestialmechanic.com/
It triggers some kind of reflex in my arm, I close the window after a bit of reading XD

It's a site made to proove the existance of God, and to disproove Evolution. It even offers hour-long seminars! The problem is that it fails so hard, by using arguments like "Every code is designed, so therefore DNA must be designed too!"

And here's nice list, showing the different ways that DNA could have been made
1) Humans designed DNA
2) Aliens designed DNA
3) DNA occurred randomly and spontaneously
4) There must be some undiscovered law of physics that creates information
5) DNA was Designed by a Superintelligence, i.e. God.

They forgot to add the magic spaceduck, he's quite crafty!
So, yeah, check the site out.

Oh aye, the add for that site pops up on Youtube all the time, especially on atheist videos. I would join the course, but I'm guessing they'll ask for money, and it would be a waste of my time. Anybody know what the actual atheists' riddle is?
I would guess it was a straw-man.

1) DNA is not merely a molecule with a pattern; it is a code, a language, and an information storage mechanism.
2) All codes are created by a conscious mind; there is no natural process known to science that creates coded information.
3) Therefore DNA was designed by a mind.

Problem with premise 2, a blanket statement like that can only be made as an argument from personal incredulity.
Random mutation and natural selection can create information, and I'm not sure about calling DNA a "code," it's simply a production facility for proteins, it doesn't have instructions like "the leg bone is connected to the thigh bone."

They also forgot the option "DNA evolved."
One could also apply the same logic to the "Superintelligence" and ask about it's origin.
But then of course, the Superintelligence is simply assigned properties at the whim of the theist that removes it from the logic of the argument.
"Oh God doesn't have an origin.
Shut up now."

Their random mutation generator is also a laugh, the "select" button doesn't seem to do anything, so it really fails.

Actually, you can sign up for free on there, I did. They send you one Mail per day, with a "lecture" that's about as far off as saying: "the earth is 6000 years old". So creationist-far-off. simple rly...

It is the same old stupid... I don't mean from last year, I mean from hundreds of years ago. Ever notice how science keeps learning more and more about the universe, while Creationism is stuck with the same unchanging arguments?
