What the fuck UK. I thought we were cool.

No, wait. What I meant to say was "This can't last long."

So who wants to visit this "museum" then?

I only live about an hour away, so it's easy for me.

You guys? Dates and times?

A big League of Reason outing would be awesome... shame I'm about 6-7 hours away and have exams coming up...

My first thought upon seeing this and being surprised with the EXPO sign was: exposition of what exactly? Certainly nothing relevant, unless it's Adam's femur or the other apple that fell in the bog.

My second thought is that if they can put verification certificates on those rocks to give official confirmation that they originated in Eden, we could make much money selling them as holy relics. No?

Edit:

I had to come back, because this just opens so many intriguing possibilities.

Thirdly, I can't imagine raising capital for such a venture. How to you say to investors "I found this rock and the guy who sold it to me told me it was from Eden." I'm sure I'd believe him. We can carbon date it, or something, to validate that.

Fourthly, I trust people in general are smart enough to realise they really can't possibly have anything real and historical of direct connection to Eden itself (that would be cool, I admit to having cravings for magic apples.) But given this, how could they not make the obvious connection between the appearance of fraud, actual or probably actual fraud, and the appearance of museum con artist fraud reflecting very poorly on the claims of their religion and besmirching their credibility by appearance and association with creation museum fraud?

I can't imagine most people would go into a gift shop and really believe they are buying Eve's rib for $69.99, and knowing that, I suspect most people would question gift shop owner's trustworthiness and the validity of creationism. So really I don't get most people.

And Fifthly, supposing I'm wrong and they make no claims at all to owning anything original from Eden, I would really like to know what sort of exposition they have to fill up the building.

That said, I'm really unfair because I have no idea what they're displaying. ;)
I'm finding this much too entertaining.

Religion is a worn out explanatory science, let it die and then put it in a wood chipper.

Or alternatively contact Hampshire Trading Standards Dept., and ask them if a museum that's displaying proveably/testably false exhibits actually qualiifies as a museum.

If not we allow due process to take it's course.

True, true... So does 2 weeks worth of study leave after all my exams are finished. Hmm...

We also need to work out our entrance strategy. All of us bundling in at once might be suspicious but if we wonder in as 2 and 3's 5 or 10 minutes apart we'll look less suspicious. And i do like singers idea of giving the authorities the tip off to it being bollocks.

Maybe we should put up signs around the exhibits pointing out their flaws
Is that legal? Or might we be asked to leave the premises?

Genius, I doubt it's illegal really. Plus we could video the whole thing and stick it on youtube.
