So you're saying that portraying God as a megalomaniac alien species may not be the best approach?

Though you must admit, making Lucifer/Satan a heroic figure would be some epic trollage if the book got big.

If you write the story. I suggest that you do some research on the specific classes of demons and angels. It would be more fun if you made up stories about them. Ex. The lord of the rings genre. Some christians highly value that series and it has magic, monsters, and otherwise. To me, it's akin to harry potter, hehe. Classes, races, and histories make the game fun to read.

However, I have to warn you. If you don't start writing now, you will never get it done. Studies do tell that if one tells others his personal goal, they tend to never accomplish it.

Congratulations! Your doing the work of your father the devil!
Have you ever considered that perhaps the notion of an esoteric serpentine agent that spreads both disbelief and disharmony is a narrative construct designed to create a cognitive metaphorical link between the two phenomena in your mind? That imputing a patron to honest anti-theistic endeavors is indicative of a patron-centered worldview incapable of seriously considering worldviews centered on things like evidence or logic? Just asking.

This is so unchristian, or is it?

You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

Without proof that the thread starter is the son of the devil, it is not within your christian faith to allege that he is. ;)

I would just write about the assumption people make, there is a god therefore there is a devil and vice versa. This really comes out of confusion because Satan is very inconsistent in the bible, in some parts god creates both good and evil and then in other parts the devil is evil incarnate...So I would show that the assumption is wrong, because if anything if there truly is a god it would make a whole hell of a lot more sense if god was the devil and there was truly no perfect all loving being.

If you read the bible, just imagine reading harry potter. It's a story, something you enjoy or hate. Don't take it too seriously, or else it will no longer be fun to read. Hehe.

Besides, god is way to moody for me and very unfair. It does not make sense. ;)

A secondary purpose of the story would be to put ideas of doubt in God's truthfulness into the mind of a reader

Could a story be used to sow a seed of disbelief?

Congratulations! Your doing the work of your father the devil!

Well I always aim to make daddy proud.

Well, the book of Job is just basically about some random rich guy being the victim of a bet between God and the Devil with nothing at all at stake. Interesting relationship those two have.

... Yeah, god and the devil are old drinking buddies...

...Don't ask how I know that... :D
