"Contained infinitie"Um.... What?

The circle and its three-dimensional manifestation the sphere are fascinating shapes because they are contained infinities. No matter on what where you reside on it the relative measurements will always be the same because there are no relative measurements! Why? Because there are no edges. The sphere suggests infinite energy because there are no edges to determine relative points of measurement like a square or cube. But get this"¦a sphere has to be contained to be perceived which suggests its infinity is not all that it seems. Spheres come in many different sizes. What does that say for their degree of infinity? Are spheres more or less infinite due to their size? (What a ridiculous question) Well, a conundrum arises. The only way to determine this is to find the biggest sphere and measure it relative to other spheres. But we will never find such a shape. Why?

http://trickyrelativity.wordpress.com/ I thought I share this blog with you guys. It had me scratching my head.

Um, yes you can measure a sphere relatively. You use the radius or the diameter. This measurement collapses the infinity problem. The greeks had that one figured out like 2500 years ago.

I met the writer of this blog on a bus ride to work one day and he told me about his blog. When he was describing his blog to me he said it was about "the meaning" of science and words. I just had no idea what he was talking about.

It's been months since I first met him but I finally got around to reading his blog last night and I was really just flabbergasted.

Here is one about gravity http://trickyrelativity.wordpress.com/2010/06/23/mass-gravity/

Don't be concerned if you feel a bit confused about this because most would. The blogger has just a had a few too many shandies I think. Case in point:

"The energy of the bowling ball's ascent and descent is determined by the nature of the gravity present. If "light" gravity is present the ball's ascent and descent will appear slower. If "heavy" gravity is present the ball rises and falls at a faster clip or it may be impossible to launch the ball in the air at all without a force greater than the force of the heavy gravity."
