Conspiracy of... conspiracy theorists?

Hi,

I recently saw this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9a8J_uPLHXA

The gist of it is that Alex Jones, the conspiracy theorist, is now accused by another conspiracy theorist of being a part of the conspiracy - acting as a "disinformation agent".

So... now we have conspiracy theories about conspiracy theorists?

This is like.. meta stuff. Have conspiracy theories moved into their own type of post-modernism?

This is also, like... well, ridiculous. As if this stuff wasn't silly enough to begin with?

What's the world coming to? Now the conspiracy theorists can't even escape accusations of conspiring. :)

I'm not... too surprised. Conspiracy theorists tend to be pretty coo-coo to begin with. They distrust everything around them and expect massive huge secrets to be kept that ONLY THEY KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT! Oh why doesn't anyone believe them!?

This has been long overdue, I don't know how didn't they come up with this earlier, it is just asking for it.

Wow.

This would be the most incredible satire.... I think I may have to favorite it.... It's incredible. It's genius.

I don't think it is a satire. well doesn't look like it.

Indeed, I don't think it is satire.

As some of the other posters have mentioned, this was probably bound to happen.

Besides, objectively speaking, the rationalization employed here (that the enemy would use such devious tactics) is actually pretty sound - or at least very much in keeping with the "rationality" already employed in constructing the conspiracy.
After all, the would-be conspirators would most likely not be stupid - especially not the ones that are supposedly secretly running the world.

What does amuse me about this, though, is the fact that now some people (like Alex Jones) will be getting some of their own medicine, and what else will their response be but to call those people crazy conspiracy theorists?

The stupidity will then have come full circle. Full circle-jerk, actually.

Yes, I think Triplexity is a genuine fruitcake. I looked at the comments on his video and read a few of his wisdoms:
Never mind the definition, it could very well be that the word "god" (dog backwards) was invented by those who created the English language to mock him, which proves once again that they admit His existence.

Fluoride in tap water, thimerosal in vaccines, government conspiracies - all these things were known before Alex.

Well, if you know who is Oprah Winfrey and who she's working for, the very fact that she's promoting "The Secret" should be enough to stay away from it. The Secret is based on New Age teachings of Bashar. Not many know that the New Age movement was founded by the satanist Aleister Crowley. Can't you see what The Secret promotes? It promotes materialism. It tries to occupy people's minds with mundane trivial thoughts of worldly gains.

Oprah is associated with the Elite, the so called "Illuminati".

I suggest you to get acquainted with Theosophists - the conceivers of the NWO. Theosofists, as known, pay homage to Lucifer.

If you could zoom into quarks you'd see that they are not solid, therefore everyone and everything is energy vibrating in different rates. We perceive slow vibrating energies as matter. Meditation, reiki, astrology, health and nutrition is a good way, the problem is that it's hard to find them in their genuine form.

Jesus is mentioned by the historians of his time more than the contemporary Caesar Tiberius (42 different sources vs 10). Jesus is acknowledged by Muslims and even by Jews. Jewish faith loathes him so much, so even his name (Yeshu) is not allowed to be pronounced and any mention of the topic is disapproved.

I think the Intervention theory provides more answers than the mainstream Evolution theory, so I was truly enthusiastic about it at first.

9/11 was an inside job - no doubts about that. But we have to consider the possibility that it's happened differently from what Alex tries to convince us. For example that it was an occult mega-sacrifice ritual, that's why the bulding 7 was brought down...Or that there were no plains, but something else, like an advanced holographic technology or whatever, and that's what infowars is trying to lead away from. Think about it.
Well, nothing on YouTube surprises me anymore.
I call it YouTube's Law: just when you think you've found the biggest moron, you meet a bigger one.

I know.

I don't think so either... though I'm not sure what I would do different if I were to make it satirical. I'm honestly a little taken-aback when someone makes an argument so far fetched that all I can think is they do a better job mocking themselves than I ever could.

Yah. I do agree that one of the stupidest things about conspiracies implicating deep military involvement in things like the murder of thousands on 9/11 is they don't address why people are still alive to speak out about it..

Of course.. there's nothing funnier to me than having an underground movement where the only way to earn your street cred is to die. Suicide is clearly an acceptable avenue too. Maybe they'll all hang themselves to be more convincing?

Next, that other conspiracy theorist will accuse Alex Jones of being a part of a conspiracy.

A conspiracy to frame a conspiracy theorist of being in a conspiracy by conspiracy theorists.

Maybe he'll respond by saying that they're part of a conspiracy by calling him part of one by spreading disinformation... if they can say it without getting tongue tied.

So... now we have conspiracy theories about conspiracy theorists?

I'm reasonably sure that at one more level of conspiracy, a conspiracy singularity will form and destroy the known (conspiratorial) universe.
Who needs the LHC, just let these guys go at it :)

Lol, that sounds about right.

I mean, if there was ever any kind of credibility to these people (which probably isn't the case with regard to the general public, but perhaps among certain people who are likely to become a part of the conspiracy community), this has got to be a huge blow to that.

That's the good thing about stupidity; it has a way of biting itself in the ass - hard.
