BUT with their own introduction. They are going to be distributing 50,000 copies to students at Universities in the US.

I've read there introduction and it's largely the same old creationist rubbish.

I read it as well, and saw the introductory video Cameron was in. I have to say, it's facepalm-inducing, so be careful.

They try to discredit Darwin by saying he's racist and sexist, talking about Hitler and Evolution, and questioning whether Darwin actually believed what he was writing.

You know, nothing that has anything to do with Evolution, or 'The Origin of Species', but what do you expect from "The banana guy"?

I expect a bunch of lying and stupidity... and he never fails to deliver.

Personally I am warming to the idea. The introductory text will be flat out contradicted by the text of the book itself and anyone who reads the book with an open mind will see that. The only people likely to be convinced by the additions are the converted and deluded and thus the exercise is futile. It's a chance to get your hands on a great book at no extra cost, rip out the offending pages or just ignore them.

And of course, anyone already deluded now has a copy of origins sat on a book shelf just screaming at them to learn some real science. I think it is destined to backfire on them, hence the reason I am warming to it.
