Cobain was killed.

So it's the 17th anniversary of Kurt Cobains death and I'm being inundated with conspiracies regarding his "so called" suicide. I've been linked to this site: http://www.cobaincase.com which is run by a PI who has been investigating the case for years.

Opinions? Personally I'm inclined to call bullshit.

He was found with a gun in his hands pointing at his own mouth, with a suicide note...

Of course it was murder.

i think it's plausible that love could have killed him and made it to look like a suicide.

Because a clinically depressed junkie with crippling gastrointestinal pain would never ever be a suicide risk. Clearly Courtney did it for the moneys.

the proposed motive is that kurt had planned on backing out of the music scene. if he were to do this he would have only been receiving royalties and maybe some odds and ends. if he were to die, not only would love get his money, but also the royalties from the record sales that would skyrocket after his death. also the possibility of divorce (since courtney love does seem like a soul sucking demon) would have meant love would only get half of the current and none of the future. nirvana was also slated to headline lalopalooza....or however the hell it's spelled. who was used as an alternate when cobain died? dun dun dun.......hole.

love sent an electrician to the home after cobains death with specific instructions to check the area where cobain was found dead.

and last but not least....the last line of his suicide note has been disputed as to whether or not it's even his handwriting.

i don't know if i looked into this because i like nirvana or because i hate courtney love...

I think your bias is showing. There is nothing but circumstantial evidence, and even that is pretty damn weak. Regardless, Love is a successful musician in her own right. Plus she would have been receiving maintenance for Francis Bean. Money is a really poor motive in this case.

Courtney Love might be a bitch, but I honestly doubt that she is a murderous bitch.

Being married to her, however, could easily drive one to suicide

Also on another note Cobain almost died from an overdose in Rome shortly before his suicide, and the biography 'Heaver than Heaven' also notes other occasions in which this happened. I think the most likely thing is that he couldn't care less whether he lived or died any longer, and he decided to end it. He bought the gun himself and had the receipt with him, there is no reason to assume foul play.

Not really all that successful, certainly not in Cobain's league.

Hmmm,....I'm not so sure.

Cobain's star was on the wane before his death,....his later recordings were getting panned by press and public alike, and his sales were dropping like a stone.

Then he died and instantly became "a legend",.....same as Elvis.

In addition to that Love already had a reputation as an evil-minded, gold-digging bitch long before she ever met Cobain.

BTW, have a look at this:

Legal issues
Before Love gave birth to her daughter, there were rumors suggesting that she used heroin during her pregnancy. This scandal intensified when Vanity Fair published Lynn Hirschberg's article "Strange Love" that alleged Love admitted to using heroin even after learning of her pregnancy. Along with Cobain, Love maintained that Vanity Fair took her words out of context. After the birth of Frances Bean Cobain, tabloid reporters questioned[citation needed] if she had been born addicted to drugs. Eventually, child welfare services launched an investigation questioning their parenting abilities. The investigation was eventually dismissed, but not without a significant amount of legal wrangling and being removed from her parents' custody for a short time, beginning when she was two weeks old.
During Love's hospital stint in 2003, Cobain was put into the care of her grandmother. Cobain was returned to the custody of Love several months later. In late 2005, Hank Harrison, Love's father, prepared a brief petitioning a Los Angeles court for visitation rights to the minor child, but the petition was denied.
On 11 December 2009, a California Superior Court in Los Angeles appointed Wendy O'Connor, her paternal grandmother, and Kimberly Cobain, her father's sister, as temporary co-guardians of Frances.[9] On 16 December 2009, it was reported that a judge had issued a related temporary restraining order, prohibiting Love from having any direct or indirect contact with her daughter.[10] The papers were filed under the heading "motion to seal all documents "¦ relating to a minor and allegations of domestic violence." Among those documents are Frances's medical records, according to the filing.[11]
