Christian Music on Youtube

I went to youtube to listen to Handel's "Messiah" because it's just a fine piece of music whether it's religious or not and coming across a great version by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, I did what I always do when I watch a YT video: I scrolled down to read the comments. I'll link to the YT page rather than embed the video since it's the comments that I want to address in this topic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skgrFTu6KTI&feature=related

Particularly the second highest rated comment by the user iluvschnix. I've seen comments like these plenty of times on videos of christian music, and they just baffle me. I mean I would never have even thought stuff like that when I was a christian, so the fact that people come on youtube and post this stuff after, I presume, feeling some sort of spirtual connection with god and evoking some emotion, just seems mental to me. Does anyone else just cringe when they read comments like this?

Not really. It is just part of the way christians express their faith. Maybe I have read too many posts like this but they don't bother me as much as they used to.

I dunno. I grew up singing Handel's Messiah with several different choirs and know how moving a piece it is. I've been a lifelong atheist so for me the emotions it evokes are not, nor have they ever been, remotely religious. But I can certainly understand how a devout believer would be inspired to make a profession of faith. I mean, I don't actually get it, really, but you know, it makes sense.

I've seen far "worse".

Go to the Christian documentaries on Youtube about why Rock & Roll is evil. The top rated comment THERE are to cringe over.

Do you mean the ones ComedyJesus uploaded? I thought that only godless heathens watched that channel.
Edit: They don't seem too bad. The highest rated comments on ComedyJesus videos of rock and roll is evil seem to support my hypothesis that only godless heathens watch his videos. But now I am curious. Which channel has the bad comments?

I'm talking about this "documentary".
Though the "documentary" itself is so retarded that you mostly wind up ignoring the comments.

Ugh that documentary is retarded. And how long is it? I saw in the related videos that there is a part 29 and each of them are 10 minutes long.
