This month's recipe: Noodle Kugal!
I decided to try to attempt some Jewish food. Kugals are always something I look forward to every Hanuka party. So I tried to make one myself. Turned out pretty nice.
Here's what you'll need.
8oz. Wide Egg Noodles.
2 large Eggs.
70g. Sour Cream.
70g. Cream Cheese.
2C. Plump Baking Raisins
1tbs. Cinnamon (plus extra.)
2 8oz.. cans of Pineapple (preferably one crushed and one chunked.)
1C. sliced Almonds.
2tbs. Black Pepper.
1/4C. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Put the noodles in a pot of salted boiling water and cook until they are done (about 7 minutes.)
After the noodles are strained, mix them with the eggs, sour cream, and cream cheese.
Stir in the raisins, almonds, pepper, cinnamon, and pineapple.
Lastly, add olive oil.
Scrape the mixture into a baking dish and top with more cinnamon.
Bake at 350*F (177*C.) for 25 minutes.
I've also tried this with a tart Granny Smith apple pealed, cored, and diced and it tasted very good.
