Can we stop changing how the forum works?

I remember the good old days where virtually every forum on the internet worked the same way. I know that the way quotes and replies used to work on this forum also once worked in a more familiar way but for some reason the powers that be decided to change that. Why? It seems like every web forum nowadays adopts a new format every year and I have to learn all over again, how to do same things the same things I already could do with the old system and there never seems to be any benefit.

Can we just all agree that lack of standardization of web forum systems is nothing but a hinderance and there is no reason to make any changes to this forum?

What changes are you referring to? I've been here since 2013 and the only "change" I can remember is the migration to XenForo from phpBB, that only happened when the forum was resurrected relatively recently. There's certainly nothing you could do on the previous software that you can't do on this software, so not really sure what you're moaning about, in no small part due to the fact you don't actually state what it is you're having issues with.

It has, but it's easier than standard php. Pick the spot you want to interject and hit enter, and all the tags are done automatically.

I am fairly certain the way to add and remove quotes and to use multiple quotes in post has changed.
For the better, just copy paste links, pics, videos, the software does the rest. It's easier than it ever has been!

Multi-Quote is quotes taken from multiple posts. Then you have selective quotes you highlight text and below you see multi-quote and reply they work the same as the normal quote only you select what you’ll need. In the forum HYS I explained it. You cant compare Xenforo with phpBB in car terms Xenforo would be a Lamborghini and phpBB a Volkswagen Polo. The forum software changed so much in a decade its insane. Take news in the early 2000 to 2015 you had portals that showed news from a forum in a portal. These days its a fully CMS system we have it here but i still need to set it up.

He is just a boomer yelling at the sky because an ice cream cone is no longer $0.50. Pay him no mind.

Thank you for taking the time to explain these things to me.

No problem. By the way Quote inside a Quote is not done anymore with Xenforo, IPS and vBulletin they removed this or never had it in the systems. The only once that have this are some of the free forum software.
