Baptist kidnappers in Haiti

At first I thought these people were genuinely trying to help, misguided and stupid, but sincerely trying to help nevertheless. Then I read some more.
"It is clear now that they were trying to cross the border without papers. It is clear now that some of the children have live parents," he (Prime Minister Max Bellerive) told the AP.
And then:
"One (9-year-old) girl was crying, and saying, 'I am not an orphan. I still have my parents.' And she thought she was going on a summer camp or a boarding school or something like that," said George Willeit, a spokesman for the SOS Children's Village. (emphasis mine)
I sincerely hope these people are held accountable for their actions. Even if they are not working with child traffickers, taking these kids under false pretenses is simply deplorable behavior.

Then they have the audacity to complain about the conditions in which they are being held!
One of their lawyers said they were being treated poorly: "There is no air conditioning, no electricity. It is very disturbing," Attorney Jorge Puello told the AP by phone from the Dominican Republic
Well, NO FUCKING SHIT, the WHOLE COUNTRY is in shambles. Do they want a suite at the Ritz?

Maybe Haiti should implement public flogging

Hmm, I'm inclined to see how this one pans out before passing judgement. If they were doing the things that are implied then thats some seriously fucked up shit.

Essentially this. I'm pissed off just thinking about it. Disgusting.
