These are some late pics i took after doing a water change in my reef tank.
i upturned some silt on the bottom and shortly there after a HUGE amount of brittlestars
came out of nowhere. they then climbed to highest points in the tank and Spawned.
others seemingly let themselves get swept into the water column "went for a swim"

Check these out.
pardon the glare in some of the photos.

Thats pretty weird, any idea why? Do you work at an aquarium or marine biology lab, or something?

I believe this has something to do with the uplifted silt and detritus materials that came up after adding new water to the system.

and no. i`m just a marine aquarist, nothing special.
i just really really like marine biology and sealife.
i run allot of tanks and have a reasonable diversity of animals, but its just for my own curiosities sake.
