When someone says Atheist Symbol, I always think of this one:

But I prefer something like this:

Then again, that's more anti-religion.

That one certainly isn't bad, particularly within the USA.

not good enough.
the problem is that it just addresses one religion, islam.
We all know it was executed by muslims, but.... there are more religions which didn't which can use that as an argument for their own religion. the depiction of an atom is a better picture, since it can be hijacked easily be religion.

I dislike all symbols associated with atheism, I don't see what they achieve other than to further the myth that atheism is some kind of doctrine.

The walking fish is a classic example, associating atheism with evolutionary theory. I do find the image itself amusing since it pokes fun at religion, but not as a symbol of atheism.

agreed, however if there would need for a symbol for atheism... i would like to connect it to science and reason.

That symbol keeps reminding me of the star of David.

Which do you consider the best if any and why?

I don't see anything really working as a whole, due to what atheism is define as.

However, just for kicks:

This is from: http://thesciencenetwork.org/ (which is not "atheism" of course)

The only thing that will stick is if we let them brand us with a symbol as they have with the name, Atheists. I realize that "Atheists" agree on little, other that a way of thinking. If we could just get Billo to describe the manner of our mark I would get a tattoo.

I think that there is power in numbers and I would like to instantly stand out in a crowd as a non-believer without casting insult on their particular delusion. I live in the Reddest of the Red states and would wear such a clear symbol everywhere.
