Atheist billboard defaced

A week ago ten billboards went up in the Sacramento area with the message "Are you good without God? Millions are." Sponsored by the Sacramento Coalition of Reason, the purpose of the billboards is simply to spread awareness of nonbelievers. Those of faith occasionally feel threatened by the message and at least one of these billboards has been vandalized.

Sweet sweet hypocrisy. Makes me so happy.

The brilliant part is that by defacing the billboard the vandal both helped the billboard get nationwide coverage, made the bigotry that is the root of the need for such signs obvious to all the world AND showed how morally bankrupt religious people are. I love it! Also, it was incredibly lame, as vandalism goes.

I don't think christian's even know what irony is.

To understand irony they'd have to understand other similar concepts such as contradiction. They obviously don't understand Contradiction because they fail to pick up the many inconsistencies and contradictions in their own religious doctrines.

I think this is a good thing, vandalism means more publicity for the billboards (if there wasn't enough  ). Additionally, the graffiti makes sense in two ways. They're lost in a Christian sense sure, but they're also lost in the crowd of Christians unable to tell who are also non-believers or even if they exist.

Plus, if this continues we're going to get some laughs from ridiculous attempts to be witty. :D

It was incredibly lame. There were way worse things he or she could have done to it. Though it doesn't really show anything about the morality of the religious - it only shows that the guilty party is willing to deface property.

When I was a younger brat I used to be an aspiring young graff artist-
But I was actually an artist. (Don't worry - I did my time. :p)

I would have made myself an hero if I had not only done something so unclever, but so poorly and pathetically pieced together. I mean, hell - if you're going to vandelize something, do it right.

*cough cough*
Ofcourse, this is entirely unethical and the purest example I can think of to define the term "situational irony."
