Arc Survival?

I just saw their pixellated, minimal advert in New Scientist and had to take a look, it's certainly strange and has got to be a scam. Found this discussion from a google search, hello forum. Has anyone tried getting more info via the contact details they give on the .com registration? See here:

That's how I found them. Couldn't believe they ran an ad in New Scientist. Wonder what that means about the readership there. I found the domain registrant's address and looked at their place in Cornwall using google cam (or whatever that is called). Looked pretty average, although I must say images of Cornwall look appealing. I might go there on vacation at some point.

It's a scam. Just one of those e-mails from the Prince of Nigeria asking for fifty grand in return for three million later, but using different methods of distribution. I might have considered it a joke if they hadn't shelled out the cash for Facebook and New Scientist ads, but no aspiring chucklemeister would go quite that far.

Yes, it's pathetically transparent, but so are the spam e-mails that hundreds of thousands of people get every day, and people fall for those all the time.

I contacted NewScientist, after I saw this advert in the March 12 Issue, and this was their (quick) response:

Thank you for your email to New Scientist Feedback which has been forwarded on to me.

We do pride ourselves on the appropriate nature of all content that appears in New Scientist and you are absolutely right, on this occasion this one did slip through. On reflection it wasn't appropriate to run this and you won't be seeing it again. Thank you for your feedback and I do hope you continue to enjoy reading New Scientist.

Best wishes
