Sadly, this isn't a Poe, or a parody of the heartfelt, compassionate Roald Dahl classic.

Quite a few tongue-in-cheek 5-star reviews have been written in reply. I decided to take the direct approach, though.
How Dare You, Stephanie, January 7, 2013

Measles isn't "fun." Pox parties are not "fun." Simply because a few children built up an immunity to smallpox because they were exposed to less virulent strains (such as cowpox or chickenpox) does not mean we should go back to the days of 70% infant mortality rates. Even today, it's not a matter of popping a few pills, changing the child's diet, prescribing bed rest and waiting for them to recover. Measles still kills children today, and vaccines are still the most reliable measure of counteracting this modern-day plague.

A brief glance across the vast literature concerning infectious diseases and vaccines will reveal that herd immunity (the proportion of the population that needs to be vaccinated to ensure full immunity among a population) is crucial in modern times. There are children with compromised immune systems (either naturally or via treatments for diseases such as leukemia) that cannot be vaccinated. Stephanie is endorsing crackpot theories and encouraging parents to commit attempted murder on their children. I wonder if she would even dare to make such callous and ill-informed statements about diabetes, cancer or cardiovascular disease. For that matter, I would like to know what measures she is taking to protect her own health. Perhaps she has converted her entire house into a germ-free capsule.

Shit like this makes me angry. Just because some people have their head too far up their ass, kids today have to die, unnecessarily. Stupid motherfuckers.
Among those stupid Mofos is my Aunt, a medical doctor.

The only people I've seen consciencely object to immunizations in real life are the same people who think that the NWO engineers disease to keep the population in check with vaccinations that don't really work.

I reckon that if you want to opt your child out of vaccinations because of this unthinking fucktardery you should be shipped off to work in a hospital in the developing world where you can watch hundreds of kids die of easily preventable diseases.

If that doesn't open your eyes to the savage stupidity of the antivax concept, nothing will.

Bonus points if you get to watch an outbreak of measles in progress.

If we hadn't let these idiots get a foothold in the 90s measles, mumps and rubella would have gone the way of smallpox by now. The fact people are still dying of them is a crime. People like Andrew Wakefield and Jenna Jameson and [insert any other big names associated with the movement] should stand trial for THOUSANDS of cases of negligent homicide.

I have a few friends who say I have been indoctrinated by science and politicians for thinking that vaccines actually prevent diseases.

Apparently the "scientific world" is only interested in keeping people ill so they can of course keep earning money through their pills, vaccines and other such things. If only people would give things like silver, homeopathy and m&m's a try, we would be cured of everything....forever. We would live like gods, crushing small villages under our enormous strength and.......I think I'm ranting.

People like that just want to sit on top of their high horses, laughing at the people below, those people below with their data, and their evidence, but they're completely unaware that as they are living in the land of make believe, they are killing thousands in the real world. It's this obsession with wanting the world to be magical and strange. Well....the world is fucking magical and strange and beauitful and the sooner these weirdos return to reality, the fucking better.

I've posted this already today, but I think it's one of Potholer's most important videos

Tell them to never have children because their incompetence and ignorance will kill them.

I actually think it should be a criminal offence to distribute information that may lead to ill-informed and dangerous medical decisions.

Of course some might cry freedom of speech and press or whatever, but I think when lives are genuinely endangered and people's health put at risk there should be standards to protect people. Especially when it comes to phoney medical advice.

A doctor would be struck off for telling a patient that drinking bleach would get rid of their kidney stones - I don't see much difference between this and whack-jobs publicly denouncing vaccinations and calling it 'good health advice'. Of course one could say that it's down to the individual to research and understand the nature of the claims being made, but the simple fact is people don't - and that is why its so dangerous.

At the very least it deserves a kick in the groin.
