Excellent post! I saw that you posted this on FB and I was shocked. Sadly, the number of people who want to ban immigration no matter what is probably still very high.

UKIP are flaunting the same ridiculous numbers of potential migrants from the EU. There are a lot of people who oppose immigration strongly ...but it is at times easy to forgive when you have such propaganda as that in the express. Its a re-hashed form of the rivers of blood speech.

I guess the little cartoon figure in the newspaper name (the little England-colored crusader) says it all.

However, I'm surprised their logo is "The world's greatest newspaper", instead of something like "Defending England from... Un-ENglishness since... whenever it became fashionable again to be a racist".

Or just "Dey dook eur jeeeeeeerbs!"

Simply peddling fear. The job of this newspaper is to tell afraid people that everything they are worried about is going to come true... someday soon.

I like that the called for a 'crusade' on a particular population. I think crusade is not a particularly good work to use when you are talking about rubbish or cellphones. To use it to refer to a human population is mind-blowing.
