Evidently, Answers in Genesis is using code that categorizes readers based on their browser's history

edit-In the categories they use, they put "christian" users, christian in quotes even.

That kind of behaviour/coding is actually getting more and more common as web-pages try to become more adaptive (presenting customized contet to the user based on his/her browsing history). As mentioned in the article, it's most widely used by porn side so they can entice users with content that best fits their history.

But the interesting thing here is, why the hell would a creationist site be doing this? What do they have to gain by categorizing people?

Are they grading their content on a scale of "less than usual insane", "insane", "batshit insane" and "100% creationism" and trying to block the too wacky stories from the eyes of moderate christians and atheists to both avoid critcism and try to gain more followers?

Has anybody tried to experiment what happens if you fake your browising history so that you look forexaple like a ""christian"" (why they would use quotation marks is beyond me) and see what the site looks like compared to what it looks like if one is a "evolution news follower"?
