Cool, I'm not entirely sure how it's supposed to work but I ended up with a population of pink bugs. Some serious genetic drift going on.

Aw, all male bugs died :(

Man, it takes forever because of the random 5 deaths. The random deaths keep killing off all my well-adapted bugs and it slows down the process massively. I don't know if you can do this, but if you could change the program to just automatically play out X generations (seemingly) intantaneously so that you don't just have to leave it running for a while to get a certain number of generations.

Edit: Never mind...I think I accidentally turned natural selection off. :? Cool program in any case. It's one of the better programs I've seen in terms of apparent visual representation.

You have to turn on natural selection at the start, I didn't do this which is why I ended up with all pink bugs on a blue background. Still an interesting result.

I think that sounds cool . . . I definitely need to check it out . . . it also makes me jealous . . .

Yeah, sorry I should have mentioned that. When I first did the program it was on automatically but I decided to turn it off so that you could see what happened without any selection pressure. I am sure I had my reasons at the time :?

That's a good idea. I'm not sure that the current version of the program is setup to do that but I am sure with a bit of tinkering I might be able to do something. One of the buttons lets you speed up the process so that it runs at two generations a second but I think you are right, it could do with a turbo charge button. I'll put my thinking cap back on.

Neat wee program. Don't apologise for the program killing off all males. Sometimes things like that happens in evolution.

That's a brilliant little program you have there, very nicely done.

Of course, this is all just micro-evolution, it doesn... you get the idea, that's where the eejits will go.

This too cool, it's like Spore only good.

Can I quote you on that?

You already did, dude.

(Sorry for the necro, just had to say that.)

By the way, you wont get a WTF from me, I love evolution simulations programs.
