A very interesting and well-researched article on wired that thoroughly refutes the anti-vax movement. Can't believe I missed this back in Oct!

Ah, okay it probably should have gone in new general scepticism forum thinking about it. I just use the "view active topics" button so I get to see the whole lot.

I have a point of thought to add to those claiming that vaccines only serve big business:
If that's the case, why, fro reason's sake, was research on vaccination and mandatory vaccination so big in the former socialist countries?
By their logic, it would have been the best propaganda ever:
Look what those capitalists do to their children! They poison them just for the profit of the pharmaceutical industry!

Yet they didn't. They were much in favour of vaccination. My mum actively got my grandparents to make possible a visit to our relatives in the GDR when she was a kid because they implemented the Polio vaccine a year before the FRG and she'd seen a schoolfriend dying of Polio...
