Is there a source of information more reliable than Wikipedia? Where I might find the information to teach myself higher level of mathematics and physics and such?

Can Americans not get student loans? You would benefit from the environment at universities like MIT, Cambridge etc.

there are always free EBooks floating around the Net

http://www.freebookcentre.net/SpecialCat/Free-Mathematics-Books-Download.html
(but I could imagine that learning Math without a Teacher can be extremely difficult to say the least)

MIT has placed some excellent lectures on-line, and forums such as this one provide a great resource for those legitimately seeking knowledge. We have users with degrees in everything from Astrophysics to Zoology who are only too eager to share their experience. Now, I'm not suggesting that as a truly viable replacement for formal education, but for someone with no other option who was disciplined enough to follow a curriculum and put some effort into formulating the right kinds of questions, the resources on the internet is an excellent place to start.

Getting them is easy if you have good credit. Because of bad decisions my parents have made with my money I am in too much debt to be able to even live on my own. Because of my family's financial situation I have been unable to express the need of mental help I need (manic depression, possibly bipolar). I am also addicted to hemp, I use it as self medication. With only a GED I can not get a decent job that does not drug test. After I was in an accident in a new car that I had gotten a loan for I was too shocked from almost losing my life in the accident to notice that the insurance company was robbing me blind. After that I became bitter at work because of racism and sexism, and I began to steal money. I was caught and was too stoned to realize that Publix used a mental attack on me to make me sign some papers saying that I had taken more than I really did and a confession that they told me to write down, they maid it sound like I was not in trouble and that the police were not going to be called and that I was not going to lose my job, but then they completely changed the story and then the manager fired me. I was too stoned to understand that I was being illegally interrogated. I will now have to pay a bunch of money and be on probation for a while. And now b/c of a stupid law I will probably be sent to jail for 10 years if I get drug tested. So it seems like I am in a bit of a pickle at the moment and I don't know why I am writing my life story on here but I hope I get through this tough time ahead of me with my dying passion for knowledge.

tl;dr Unintelligent parents + Bad Financial Standing + An Unstable Mind + A Felony = No Money for crazy poor people. :geek:

I'm prety sure you can get some good books for free. Don't know where, but there got to be.
I advise you to start on linear algebra and aplied mathematics (integrals are essential, diferential analysis to, complex analysis will be requiered at some point if you want to understand some terminology). Then pass to thermodynamics, aplied mechanics and electromagnetism, after that I will not guarantee that you will know what can work but you will be able to tell that allot of stuff (which the majority of the people only thinks about) doesn't work. From there go where your interests leads you. But I must warn you, it is going to take a hell of allot of work and it is expected to take some time for you to do all this.

I will be more than exceptional with what I will create and I wish to be on par with Einstein, Tesla, and maybe the greatest mind that ever was (possibly) Archimedes.
Modest aims, then
If you ever do make it, please do come back and tell us.

Bloom Box is going to be the solution to the energy problems. jj but it sounds pretty promising, it gets reviled tomorrow. Just started reading about it wondering if anybody in here knows anything about it, like whats the catch?

From what I've found out so far is that it fits in your hand and two of them can power an average American home, I'm not sure for how long. It uses solar wind and oxygen or something, don't really know only started looking into it. Sounds to good to be true so I assume it is and figured people here would know for sure if it was.

If your hand is the size of a car, then yes. And it uses oxygen and a number of different fuels, mostly natural gas.

Alright, Ive been lurking here for a while, but I just had to respond to this.
I am also addicted to hemp, I use it as self medication
So you have a dying passion for knowledge, but you use a drug that makes you dumber... This does not compute.
With only a GED I can not get a decent job that does not drug test
I see a simple solution to this problem...
and I began to steal money.
Most people are bitter about their jobs. Take responsibility for your actions and stop trying to blame your job.
I was too stoned to understand that I was being illegally interrogated
I'm noticing a pattern here. Seems like there was an easy way to avoid this.
And now b/c of a stupid law I will probably be sent to jail for 10 years if I get drug tested.
No, your choice to break the stupid law will cause you to be sent to jail for 10 years. Yeah, the law sucks. Either work with the system to change it or accept responsibility for your actions if you get caught.

Your life situations sucks. Your using the drugs to escape from that situation. Find a better escape, because the drugs are obviously only making things worse. Play video games, read books, start running, hell, some people can even use studying as an escape. The point is, anything would be better than the hemp.

Yeah, it shouldn't be illegal. But unless you absolutely know you will never get caught, find something else to take your mind off your situation.

It's basically a simple fuel cell. The claims are that it uses much cheaper materials than your average fuel cell, which might actually make it economically viable, but other than that it is a basic fuel cell - nothing particularly new about the technology. If you had one in your home you would need natural gas to power it, so it certainly doesn't free you from the grid as seemed to be the claim.

I'm not saying it won't be a great technology, there certainly is that possibility. But it isn't the solution to energy problems, until we have much better fuel sources... if we can perhaps do a better job of capturing methane from landfills and deliver it as a fuel source that would be that could power these bloom boxes also lower the greenhouse effect, since methane is a very powerful greenhouse gas.

Oh and I agree with BigBadMammo up above... but good luck to you anyway.

I was guessing this while reading your responses. Grandiose thinking is one of the symptoms. Marijuana can worsen manic episodes and it doesn't sound like its helping you in any way right now.

I would make treatment for your bipolar disorder a number one priority. Education is the first step.
