Yes, the topic title is taken shamelessly from the song sympathy for the devil by the rolling stones, what you may not know however is that the infamous line is adapted from The Master and Margarita, a book penned by Mikhail Bulgakov, the original line reads "Please excuse me for presuming to speak to you without an introduction."
But Jagger didn't think that line was as catchy.
As far as introductions go, I'm a student, an atheist, and a Brit. I believe in logic, truth and reason, and I see no reason to entertain unsupported claims of the supernatural.
I serendipitously discovered this forum, and having glanced across the threads I'm delighted to see that it contains an intelligent and eloquent member base and I look forwards to posting with you all in the near future, it may turn out there is a bastion of logic and reason on the internet after all.
