Account Suspended?

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this, since I doubt it's censorship, but I couldn't find I better place.

I tried to log onto youtube, but youtube wouldn't allow me to log in, instead, I got this message in red letters below the log in window.

Account disabled, please use a different email.

When I try to go onto my chennel page without loggin in, it says my acount has been suspended, and it says all my videos have been taken down due to terms of use violations (yes, every single one, even one that was completely my creation and used a song from Youtube's audioswap)

I have yet to receive and explanation, and I don't have a clue as to what happened, whether or not my account is permanently suspended or just temporarily.

I've just contacted Youtube through their support system (although they didn't have this message listed as one of the options instead I chose the one that closest fit what I had) and I'm waiting for a response, but I've heard enough to know not to get my hopes up on that.

What bothers me most are two things-

1. I have had a completely clean record before this, not a single warning. I thought that Youtube's policy was to have a warning on the first offense?

2. Youtube hasn't even told me why my account was suspended. If I did something wrong, I at least want to know what I did. Or if it is temporary or permanent, or really anything. (as of right now, at least)

I'm confused and would really like someone to help explain this to me. :cry:

It almost sounds like someone got a hold of your password and closed your account.

As far as I am aware, if someone had closed the account it would say as much... It plainly states on the account when you try to visit:

This account is suspended.

If it were closed then it would say it had been closed...

I'd say someone has either gone on a flagging campaign or someone screwed up at Youtube.

I believe you're right. "Suspended" usually means that an account has been locked up, usually due to some kind of high priority flagging for alleged community standards violations, especially anything that is illegal or squicky to US prudes.

A fast takedown like this will often mean that someone (or even more likely a seeming group) may have flagged the account for kiddie porn or other stuff that YouTube takes no chances with. If it was false flagging the channel will get reviewed manually sometime in the next few days or weeks. If there was clear-cut abuse of the flagging system on someone's part, chances are very good the channel will get restored with no prejudice against you (and possibly some action against the reporters). "Suspended" tends to imply that no human at YouTube has actually looked at the contents of the channel at all yet.

Still, if the live reviewer is stupid or lazy or there's any ambiguity or slight grain of truth to the reasons that were given for flagging, the staff reviewer may tend to agree and the account can get trashed permanently. Best to be clear and proactive, as I get the sense the reviewers are not the sharpest pencils in the drawer, and are overloaded with a huge volume of crap to review, most of which was flagged for reasonable causes.
