So is anyone else watching it? I'm finding it to be a nice way to finish my weekend, by just sitting back and watching the programme. Its definitely interesting.

However, my one little complaint is the host, Professor Brian Cox, 1) he has the same name as the actor! (ok, thats nit-picking!) and 2) he doesn't have the charisma of say Carl Sagan, he tries his hardest, but he just doesn't quite make the mark. I sometimes find my mind wandering a bit... although that could just be me and my short attention span! :p

But in all seriousness though, I'm still finding it a good programme to watch though. Tis very interesting. :)

Yeah, I'm hooked on it :)

The BBC seem to have started doing decent docs again recently (which is great for those of us too poor for the propper doc channels!)

Io has to be my favourite.
Professor Brian Cox's way of pronouncing S's annoys me it just seems to get the back of my head if oy know what i mean.
i love the new BBC documentaries especially on BBC HD. shame they lowered the bit-rate of the data stream thus lowering the definition of the channel.

Indeed they have. Although they're still few and far between at the moment... Well the ones that I'm usually interested in. And don't worry about not having any of the 'proper' documentary channels. At the moment, the ones on sky usually revolve around Mythbusters, How it Works, Ancient Egypt and World War 2, and they repeat the same episodes over and over again. There's nothing wrong with the programmes, just the tedium of watching repeats...

I'm very impressed with Mars at the moment. I just like some of the pictures they've been showing of it. Such as the sun-sets and and clouds being observed on the planet.

I quite enjoyed the one last night, first one I've seen. I think it's pitched about right, perfect for the casual viewer to learn something and stay interested.

Plus, Brian Cox, no Charisma? The dude was a pop-star, he was in D:Ream. How much success can one guy have, the dude is the new Brian May.

No freaking way, would never have guessed that.

Didn't know he was in a band, but then I'm not doubting his credentials. I just find that sometimes I'm not fully drawn into the program. Not often though, seeing as I'm finding the show interesting. But still...

I loved this series. Great job, looking forward to the next one that's being filmed at the moment.

Brian Cox did have a little mini update on Wonders of the Solar System in a recent TED talk on the need for funding in science.
