Windows 11

It's harder to stop Windows 11 from downloading and installing drivers you don't want. One trick is to install the driver you want and then when windows installs some other fucked up driver, goto device manager and roll back the driver. Then maybe it wont be in your updates anymore.

Well it looks a little different. No more live tiles in your start menu. Toolbar is less customizable. A few new annoyances to deal with. One I mentioned above. Another is that if you want to copy and paste files you have to right-click and then click on "more options" to get to the copy and paste menu.

All in all I say there is no real reason use it if you already have Windows 10. Also there was a slight conflict with certain AMD processors which seems to be resolved now but might require you to install a firmware update from AMDs website.

I'll probably skip it, if tradition holds then every other Windows release is junk. XP was good, Vista was shit, 7 was awesome, 8 was a catastrophe, 10 is good, 11 is probably garbage. It already sounds annoying.

Looks like the tradition is holding. I'd skip it if you can. Im pretty sure Windows will have to provide support for 10 for several years yet, because of weird hardware requirements for 11.

So this is what my Start Menu looks like now in Windows 11.

Im not sure why they decided to take up half the space in my start menu to "Recommend" files. What does that even mean anyway? (picture seems not to work but you get the idea.)

I actually prefer Windows 10 over 7. But XP was my all time favorite. It just seemed like I could do more with it. It was easier to make everything work the way you wanted it to.
