That shit was AWESOME! When I saw the "pepper with detergent" thing I just sat there, gaping. Awesome, truly.

Sweet find WarK. One of the better uses of YouTube when people make videos like these on the wonders in everyday life.

Thanks for sharing.

You've never seen something similar before?

I have a number of times, when I'm doing dishes.

Say for instance after making dinner, using a frying pan. When I'm done eating, I'll often just pour some hot water in the pan and leave it to soak for a bit. Then later, I will want to wash it properly, and in comes the dishwasher soap. And sometimes there's a small film of grease that has formed on top of the water that I poured into the pan earlier. This grease is obviously from the remains of fat in the food and frying fat that I used on the pan earlier.
And sometimes, only sometimes, when I'd pour a drop or two of dishwashing soap into the water, that thin film of fat would "explode" away from the middle of where I applied the drop - just like the pepper in the video.

I always wondered what was going on when this happened. I always assumed that the soap had some kind of fat-repellant properties, but this video really taught me a few things! :)

P.S. By making my post, I'm totally trying to out you as someone who hasn't done enough dishesh in your life. Hah!

Nah, you're just outing me as someone who either
1) doesn't play around with the dishes.
2) puts pans into the dish washer.

Guilty on both! :D

Lol, alright.

And just to clarify, I don't put pans into the dish washer. I don't even HAVE a dish washer, so... :)
