VenomfangXsite.com tried to download a Trojan

When I went to his site to see the latest he was up to, I tried to look at the forum without logging on.

And Zonelarm intercepted the pidief trojan.

Unless somebody has hacked his site this can only br malicious.

Given how much he's generally despised by many, it's not at all improbable someone hacked the site to attack him and his followers...not thinking that some ordinary passer-by's might also be poking their heads around!

That' funny, I just visited his site - btw., in the "Science" forum most of the contributors seem to be well-informed biologists - and then I went offline. When I went online again, my computer informed me that another programme had changed the settings of my internet access; it took me some time to restore them. Could it be ....? Up till now I felt pretty safe as a Mac user.

I don't know. The one ZoneAlarm intercepted was pidief which apparently works via pdf files. I'm not sure how.

I don't go to VFX's site very often, just to find out what he's up to. As far as I remembered a lot of stuff posted about him came from his forum and you didn't need to log on to see it.
