So there is a draught and heatwave in Utah and this is what the gouverneur is doing about it, apart from telling people to take less showers:
“But I fear those efforts alone won’t be enough to protect us. We need more rain and we need it now. We need some divine intervention. That’s why I’m asking Utahns of all faiths to join me in a weekend of prayer [from] 4 June through the sixth.”
Yeah ... Utah is fucked. I would laugh if this was not so freaking tragic.
Imagine your gouverneur calling on you to pray for rain ... instead of .. you know, doing his job. Putting in place emergency measures, sourcing water from other states and so on.
One more example on how religion is outright dangerous.
