As far as I know if light had mass it wouldn't travel at the speed of light.

i checked the link you provided and the logic there is pretty much like what i realized today.

Origin: I looked out of my window this morning and saw my neighbor carrying a bag of groceries, i wondered whats in there.
Experiment: I observed i could not see whats in the bag because the bag is not transparent and has a mass that can be seen also with experimentation in the local supermarket.
The reason for this is me being hungry and trying to find something to eat.
