Bah. I may have lived in Wolverhampton for six years, but that doesn't mean I want to go all the effing way to Brum!

The last time I was in Brum, was for a .. um.. protest. It costs too much to get me all the way there c.c

I say Bristol. It's much closer to where I currently live.

I s'pose I could do Brum, if no-one exected me to buy ANYthing once I'm there. I could sit in a corner with a book, and watch everyone else buy things and .. stuff c.c

Maybe ^^

...of brumians :p

I'd second Bristol if London wasn't an option. Or what about Reading?

We Brits seem to be fairly scattered - a few in or near London, as I recall, the rest dotted here and there.

So far away, unless it was planned for around August I have to come all the way down from Edinburgh. Unless.....you know........you all want to come up here ;p.

I doubt anyone could find anywhere to stay during the festival. Visitors also get massively ripped off.

Plus by the time the festival is on, I'd be back home anyway so Birmingham would be closer. (unfortunately :D )

Yeah, Leeds is okay, but it's not what I'd call a nice and/or pretty place.

Thing is with York, is that if the weather is sunny, pub crawls along the river are a rich and fantastic sport.

It's just a beautiful place; nice architecture, nice green bits, lovely cobbled streets and plenty of nice people with Real Ales for sale. :D

Plus, it's just so much better to go to pretty places than built-up city sprawls like Birmingham or Leeds.

Chester is also nice, and I'm sure there are plenty more nice places.
