You'll forgive me for being concise, I just finished watching this film and my hands are actually shaking a little. This is easily one of the best films I've ever seen... and is the sort of thing that really ought to required viewing, despite being almost unwatchable.

If you have netflix it's available online.

That is all.

Yea this is one of the best movies. If you haven't watched this movie yet, you better do! Especially if you think it's a religion of peace.

The Stoning of Soraya M. portrays how human rights are very much absent in countries and villages where the muslim shariah law is practiced. This is the same inhuman law that is creeping into the secular legal systems with the pretense of requesting special consideration for western muslims. If you want to know what will happen if shariah law is the only legal system in your country, watch this movie.

The movie is a true story of a helpless woman who was plotted by her wicked husband and village elders to be stoned to death under the accusation of adultery. One of the climatic moments in the movie is when she asks the villagers how they could even think of doing this to her, despite all the years she had been their mother, sister, daughter, wife, neighbour and friend. Their reply: "It's God's law! God is great!"
