Starting out problems...

Hey Everyone...

just started out here and have encountered a few probs setting up my profile (maybe they're wellknown issues or maybe not issues at all???)

1) cannot enter my website. Each time I try I am informed that the address is too long.
2) cannot find where I can advertise my email.
3) avatar: is it possible to have an original avatar? if so i cannot see where I would be able to upload it.

I've had a look at your profile, and you've added two addresses to the interests section; perhaps this is the problem?

2) cannot find where I can advertise my email.

If you've added an email address, and made it publicly available, it will be viewable to other users.

3) avatar: is it possible to have an original avatar? if so i cannot see where I would be able to upload it.

Yes. Go to Profile>>Edit Avatar.

Firstly, thanks for your response...

Yes, I added my websites to interests as at that moment it was the only place that would accept them. It wasn't causing the problem though. In fact, the problems are now solved:

It seems that new members must have an initial forum post approved and that unlocks the features i enquired about. I did look around the forums beforehand to see if anyone else had already posed the questions but found nothing, so at least this post will serve some purpose for future members.
