Someone contacted me asking for a video interview on a number of topics.
What I would like to discuss with you, given this context and my background, is recent developments in scientific thought which seem to open the possibility of there being a "spirit world." This includes the philosophy of Carl Jung, the philosophy of Frederick Hegel, ESP research, Orch-Or theory, and so on. I have collected a large database of published academic articles on this topic.
Below are his list of citations.

Discovery of Quantum Vibrations in “Microtubules” Inside Brain Neurons Corroborates Controversial 20-Year-Old Theory of Consciousness

Just to clarify, I asked the guy who sent me this list (in several blocks) him whether he thinks that all of the above links are to peer-reviewed studies in evidence supporting his hypothesis that there is a spirit world? I asked him to define more precisely what he meant here.
I think that you can extend this definition of spirit to understand individuals as having spirits. Soul and spirit are often used interchangeably, with some defining "soul" to mean a "union with God" or "the part that transcends death" or the "seat of consciousness" or the "connection with the physical body." The distinction hasn't really made much sense to me personally. In a sense what we are seeing here is "paranormal." There is "spooky action at a distance" and so forth. This is "supernatural" in that it arises from beyond the classical laws of nature and beyond what is directly observable in the common 4 dimensions. There is activity which occurs in higher dimensions of spacetime which manifests in effect.

It depends what you mean by spirit. The definition I have for spirit is an identifiable source of influence that can be generalized across conceptual domains. In order for any influence to generalize across conceptual domains there must exist a higher dimensional space like this - a sort of “hyperspace” or ethereal realm so to speak. In this sense 11 dimensional hyperspace is a “spirit world”
I will schedule an interview with him for some time in May. In the meantime, since I don't have time to read all these citations, I would love to hear anyone else's opinions about them or what you think of the basis for his position.

Looks like the typical smorgasbord of sources that conspiracy theorist-types collect in their magpie minds that they start to blur together into whatever final 'theory' they want (presumably one they already like or believe in). So this is probably a guy who already believes in a spirit world and has been hoovering up seemingly supportive jigsaw pieces for his spirit world 'puzzle' without really paying too much attention to the edges of those pieces or whether they fit together at all.

Given the vast swathe of material he claims to contribute to his theory, I suspect he will spend some time finding out what part of it you don't know so well, and use your seeming ignorance there to offer some epistemic breathing room to his pet idea. I have not followed your work in the past (although of course I have heard of you) but I expect you know the routine. You are very generous - or bored - to offer to debate this guy!

Just the quickest scan of what you quoted from his e-mail suggests he hasn't a clue what he's talking about and is just shoving pieces together to paint a picture. For instance, he appears to be conflating 'extra' dimensions with 'higher' dimensions with 'higher' implying something supernatural. I've yet to read anything on science that suggests any extra dimensions to our physical reality are in any way special beyond being hard to detect. Well, neutrinos are hard to detect, but there's nothing special or 'higher' about them. You get the gist.

Enjoy the debate!

You know, I'd take these religious nutjobs more seriously about their 'evidence' of a spirit world or supernatural forces if some of their 'evidence' was outside of their religion and not just within young earth creationism. They always say they have evidence for Noah's Ark, Heaven, Hell, angels, or demons, but they never bring up shit like they have evidence for Vishnu, Zeus, Odin, or Pan. Their so called 'evidence' only ever supports their worldview.

arg-fallbackName="jtveg"/>
Wow! What a list! I bet this guy doesn't half understand half the stuff he's cited let alone read them all. Although I may be wrong. Nevertheless it simply boils down to an argument from ignorance.

Basically he's saying: "There are are things science doesn't understand, hasn't yet solved, or may never solve, therefore.... [ insert pet theory here ]".
