Ignoring the fat lips of A. Jolie, Salt seemed to have a moderately good story line. The movie seemed to be set in the year 2011* (next year!!!), although the fictional president of the United States wasn't an African American.
* I saw the year "2011" displayed in a scene in the movie (death year of the fictional Vice President if I'm not wrong), but I didn't find any official confirmation.
I couldn't follow the plot that well. One thing I couldn't understand is why did Evelyn Salt kill her own group, use only spider venom on Russian President, and attempt to thwart Winter's nuclear launch. If she was brainwashed by Orlov to do his bidding, did the brainwashing fail and cause her to dissent from the spy group's plans? Or was she shaken by the murder of her husband by her master (this seems unlikely since the Russian President was supposedly assassinated by Salt before her husband died)?
Anybody else watched this? What are your views?
PS: I secretly wonder if anyone's planning to make a parody comedy movie called "Pepper" (like the upcoming "Vampires Suck")...

Pepper: "I'm Evelyn Pepper." Andlov: "Then you're an Ugandan spy."
