Thought I should share this with you guys, since it's now available publicly.

This is the youth music project I work with on a voluntary basis. I coach the young people with singing, and I helped them make this music video. The song is a particularly twee John Denver song, but we worked to remove the twee and make it tolerable.

This project is based in a catholic church, though the project is broadly secular, with the focus on outreach, not evangelisation (you know I wouldn't be having any of that). Our aim is to raise aspirations and confidence in one of the most deprived constituencies in the country, by teaching young people music and music technology, and by taking them on the road and performing.

Some of these kids wouldn't even speak in public just a few months ago, let alone appear in a music video.

We've taken over the church hall at a local church, and we've built a full-spec recording studio, with live performance venue, and I'm now bringing professional film-making to the project for the first time. This is our first outing.

You realize that the Earth normally has no polar ice caps or ice on it anywhere, Right?

I am still wondering if you knew that. It is according to secular science.

Do you actually believe that polar ice caps are the norm?

I'm sure you think you have some kind of point.

We here all know that it's not the case.

Even if you had your facts right, which we've yet to see in most cases, you'd still draw a wrong conclusion. And what fun we'd have beating your puffed up ego down again.

Now, as a person, I have plenty of flaws and deficiencies, but imagination is not one of them, and I can't for the life of me imagine that whatever your point is, your point will have ANYTHING appropriate to do with the initial post, which is a self-promotional showcase of a video project that is helping kids.

So whatever you plan to say, I suggest you take it to a topic where it IS relevant.

Oh, and just in case you're really bad with subtext as well, the above suggestion is... more than a suggestion.

Greetings,

And your source for this is...?

Kindest regards,

James

Well, it should be common knowledge. Especially among people who make educational music videos with children about climate.

My source is, well almost everything. I guess you could start by googling Ice age.

Greetings,

Your claim - your burden.

Post the link from which you're making this claim.

Gnug, you might want to split this topic from TNTD's first post - you can, I trust, cut out Prolescum's post and put it back here?!

Kindest regards,

James

I could, but I'm not going to.

Instead, this is going to be an exercise in restraint for thenexttodie:

Post ONE more thing about this unrelated crap, and you get banned again.

If you have something to say, make a damn post on your own.

Sorry, I was watching a different video on youtube that made a comparision between the amount of ice at the north pole in the year 1986(?) to 2004(?) or something like that. Now that I have watched hackenslash's video again I am sure I was mistaken. He made no references to polar ice in his video.

Please accept my apology hackenslash. If I am allowed I would also like to ask you what the time-lapse graphic in the first 30 seconds of the video is.

Define 'normal'.

Then tell us during what part of that 'normal' includes human civilization.

Oh my GOD! I have not the slightest idea how to fulfill this demanding task you require of me! You win!

Great... that was easy. And it seemed like you were going to be so difficult to reason with....

Oh wait! :D

And I should have read the next post by Gnug before replying.

Oh I'd love to. Would you like to do the honours thenexttodie - I'll help you complete that task you find demanding.
